Website authentication

Sign in to websites and handle manual authentication steps.

A website login belongs to your browser session. A TabSail API key authenticates your application to TabSail, not to the website.

Sign in

With a connected Playwright page and credentials from your application's secret store:

await page.goto(signInUrl);
await page.getByLabel("Email").fill(email);
await page.getByLabel("Password", { exact: true }).fill(password);
await page.getByRole("button", { name: "Sign in", exact: true }).click();
await page.getByTestId("account-menu").waitFor();

Replace selectors and the success check for your website. Keep secrets out of metadata, logs, and source code.

MFA and manual steps

Use human handoff for a code or approval. Reconnect and verify the authenticated page before continuing.

Reuse a login

A live browser keeps its cookies until it stops. Use Profiles to save cookies and localStorage for another session.

Your application retrieves and protects website credentials. See security.
